In this first step of Torah is Tarot, we begin the Fool’s Journey through the Hebrew Alefbet by meeting Moses as the Magician and Alef as the divine current of will, breath, speech, and creation.
Alef is the silent breath before the spoken Word, the hidden unity beneath all visible form, and the force that turns divine thought into action. Through Moses, we see the Magician not as a performer or trickster, but as a Heavenly sanctioned intercessor: one who stands between the world above and the world below, receiving the pattern from God and building it on the earth.
Moses story reveals him receiving the ‘Divine Fire,’ in the burning bush. From there his magical staff becomes a wand as he marches into the court of Egypt’s Pharaoh.
Moses reveals what happens when human consciousness aligns with Divine Mind. The wilderness becomes a temple. Speech becomes action. And the soul learns that true power is not performance for applause, but divine will entering a prepared vessel, with a surrendered will and a tenacious faith that surpasses all understanding.
